There wasn’t a “teardrop” redesign as many had hoped for, as the 4S looks the same as the original iPhone 4 on the outside. On the inside, however, it is a completely different device.
Free iPhone 4S
The iPhone 4S houses a new Apple A5 Dual Core processor, which also has the new graphic processing unit on die as well. Early reviews suggest that this new chip will improve processing performance and graphic capabilities to 2x and 7x, respectively, over what the older iPhone 4 could do. This will open the doors for game manufacturers to take advantage of the new power within the iPhone 4S and improve games further than what they were already amazingly capable of before the upgrade.
Also included was an improved camera, adding an additional 5th lens as well as upgrading the megapixels from 5 to 8, allowing the iPhone 4S to capture full 1080P video at 30 frames per second. The camera app was updated as well, giving the user more options such as editing images on the fly right after they are being taken. The new A5 chip is said to improve shutter speeds and load times for the camera app as well.
The antenna is said to have went through a major overhaul as well. The iPhone 4 suffered from a poorly designed outside metal ring around the phone that acted as an antenna, depending on the way the user held the phone could result in low signals or even dropped calls. Apple is said to have redesigned the antenna so that depending on how the user holds the phone determines which part of the antenna is sends and received signals from to get the best signal, instead of just using the entire ring as one.
The glass has also been upgraded to something slightly stronger than what was on the older model. Supposedly this new version of “gorilla glass” is stronger and more durable against scratches, but since glass still surrounds the phone, expect a ton a money put into iPhone 4S glass replacement services if you are prone to dropping it often.

Verizon Announcement, Highly Possible to be long rumored iPhone
Verizon is to hold a press conference, inviting many of Apple followers which leads many to believe this is the long awaited and rumored CDMA iPhone to be used on Verizon’s network.
Also in the grapevine is that Verizon is offering unlimited data plans for the iPhone, which is something AT&T offered early on but found to be bringing their network to a crawl with all the data transfers being done by iPhone users. White iPhone Delayed Again
For those that are waiting patiently for the “white” iPhone 4, you may be chasing a “ghost”.
Apple has announced, yet again, that the white version of the iPhone is being pushed back until Spring 2011 after already being pushed back once from it’s original release along side the black version. Along with comes much speculation as to why Apple cannot manufacture a white version of the iPhone 4 without constant setbacks. The newest rumor to come through the grapevine is that the white iPhone actually allows light leakage around the camera and causes pictures taken with it to be “washed out.”
Speculation leads to more speculation, as many are saying that Apple is set to cancel the white version entirely, and holding out for the next generation iPhone to introduce a white model instead. Backing up this claim is the removal of any mention of the white iPhone from Apple’s ordering page.
No one knows for certain what the cause it, but it’s certain that Apple isn’t planning on releasing a white modeled iPhone anytime soon.
Verizon iPhone Confirmed?
After many years behind the “so-so” service of AT&T, it looks like the iPhone may be coming to the Verizon network sooner than later. Many reports of a iPhone being developed that is CDMA compatible, which means it will work right out of the box for Verizon’s network.
